![]() I got it flushed, got the oil leak fixed and changed the tank. ![]() Oil was mixing with coolant and the coolant tank got mixed with engine oil. So, this is related to the oil leak and the replacements (Oil cooler and Valve door) I did to fix it. PS: If I dont have to do anything more, I will flush out the water and change the coolant completely. My question is simple - Why would the tank indicator behave erratically? Would it still be an EGR leak without actual fluid draining out? They just asked me to top up my coolant can with RO water (which I did to a little over the max level) and asked me to run for a day and see. These guys brushed off the EGR leak issue and told me that the particles were remains from the oil leak from my earlier valve door replacement where the coolant was mixing with engine oil. I was not very convinced that there could be a leak in the coolant flow system and still coolant level is above the min mark and so I took the car to another garage (about whom I know nothing, but they claim to be VW experts too). I went to the fuel pump got some premixed coolant and topped a little but the problem refused to go everyday in the morning when I first started the car, the Indicator would come up.Įventually, took the car to my regular garage and I was told that there could be a leak in the EGR cooling system. I topped up a little bit of water but the indicator refused to go until engine reached its max It was hovering between Min and Max in the tank. I immediately checked under the hood to find that the coolant level was not bad. attached emails with this for your reference.Last week, I got a coolant level indicator sensor activated in my 2015 VW Polo TDI when i started it for the first time in the morning! Kindly share your stories if you have similar incidents. I am planning to write into VW asking about this. Does anyone have similar issue that they are trying charge for repair for new car ? I understand they can't find any fault during diagnosis but i dont think it's owner's fault and this vehicle is under product warranty less than a year old. Honestly speaking, I am so disappointed about Volkswagen experience. (good will gesture, seriously? this is supposed to free of charge repair, right?) I had to send an email to GM of Abbortsford VW and they replied saying that they could make one time exception to waive off this bill as a one time good will gesture. Also, they asked me to pay 249.62 CAD/- in total, even though it's brand new car (less than a year). ****Ĭonclusion: They could not duplicate any faults and find any defects. Pressure never, dropped and the coolant level is ok. Pressure tested the cooling system for 50mins and inspected for leaks, still no coolant leak was found. Once the vehicle came back and sat over night. We can check the vehicle when it is completely cold. Recommend having the customer leave the vehicle with us over night so pressure tested the cooling system for 25mins and checked for leaks, no leaks were found at this time. Hooked up to charger and performed a gff scan of the vehicle, no faults stored for the cooling system, raised the vehicle and checked for leaks, no leaks found. PLEASE CHECK AND ADVISE.ĬONFIRMED CUSTOMER CONCERN - NO FAULTS FOUND - PRESSURE TESTED - NO LEAKS FOUND - CUSTOMER TO MONITOR ![]() Findings and work performed by the service centre as shown below.ĬUSTOMER REPORTS COOLANT LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. On 27Sep2022, dropped off vehicle for overnight testing as per service centre requested.
